incomplétude

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
Until we find the hidden other parts of ourselves, we are incomplete.
Dreams or flames? one thin line to flee.

courage

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
Take the wings of your wildest fantasy,
embrace the sun above the mediterranean sea.

les vieux souvenirs

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
How many winters, how many winters it takes?
The same moon, the same moon in your eyes.
It all changed but nothing changes.

transcendance

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
Summer's almost over,
when you know, you know.
Storms after storm.
Within the suffering,
you see through the clouds,
the transcendence, in the rose garden.

tragédie

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
Anniversary of summer time end.
Destruction of the entire universe,
that once we called homeland.
Magic was set on fire,
with tragic pleasure,
together in this surreal reality.

le temps

91x60 cm, oil pastel, oil and acrylic on canvas
Time was forgotten under the existence of the universe,
until the universe collapsed,
nothing else left,
but the broken memories all over the place.

soi-même

42x30 cm, oil, oil pastel, and
acrylic on paper
Love me in this tragedy,
my universe of collective hallucinations.
Love me until I love myself,
My reality collapsed in the authorized illusion.

Artist statement

There is a very intimate relationship between me and my artworks. Starting from the little child drawing and painting with unconscious but overwhelming emotions.

Over the years until today, I began to explore complex emotions on a conscious level and express them in my artworks. This process includes: an internal voyage of uncovering the hidden selves, a journey of pursuing the true self under the challenges of the surrounding normality, an experience of suffering from being free and not free, finally a transcending realization in the wild forest of life.

Furthermore, I often use symbols in my paintings, to poetically express the ambiguities in meaning of life, self-identity, love and sexuality. At the same time, I write short poems to complementarily express the emotions and thoughts along the paintings.

My creative ideas come from both theoretical research in psychology, consciousness, science and philosophy, as well as real life struggles and joys.
